Mostly for the children, this old railway is still in use and trafficked
by steam engine trains. In Anten railway station there is an exhibition
hall showing old carriages and locomotives and information about the old
narrow-gauge railways.

The textile museum in Borås (Borås textilmuseum)
A unique collection of fabrics, clothes and still-working machines used
in the textile industry is shown in an exhibition on permanent display.

The museum has exhibitions about the many ancient monuments, findings
and a special emphasis on the Stone Age farmer.

Universum is a Science Centre in western Sweden. The visitors can
do their own experiments and in a simple and educational way, learn about
technique and natural science.

In one of the oldest porcelain factories in Europe with traditions from

This mediaeval museum has several exhibitions about life and people
during the Middle Ages on permanent display. Smaller exhibitions on particular
subjects change from time to time.

In typical surroundings from the last century you can look around in
the industrial community of Rydal. Parts of the spinning mill are still
in use and guided tours show the production from wool to yarn.

A modern and interesting museum with permanent and occasional exhibitions.
Among other things the exhibitions of the bronze shields from Fröslunda
and a multimedia performance how they were sacrificed. Other exhibitions
of the way of life in Skara during the Middle Ages.The museum also offers

Paleo Geology Center
The new centre in Lidköping exhibits a unique collections of fossils,
different kind of rocks and the oldest meteorites in the world. 480 million
years old. The visitor can experience the development of life and the formation
of the mountains in Västergötland during 540 million years.
