Skiing in Värmland

To go skiing in Värmland is not hard. There are 5 larger ski centres and several smaller ones. Branäs in the north of Värmland is the newest and most modern ski-centre in the province. There are several ski slopes; it has a ski-lift and cable cars that go to the top. In Branäs there is also a snowboard park with rails, fun box and ramps. An off-pist area has also been put in order after an American "recipe".

Other ski-centres such as Hovfjället, Ski Sunne, Branäs, Valfjället and Värmullsåsen can also offer you great skiing and events right throughout the year. Please call the local tourist agency for more information, both on the ski-centres mentioned here and on others.

If you want to take it slower, there is always cross-country skiing. There are plenty of perfect ski-tracks around the ski-centres but also in other places in the province. You can check with the local tourist agency for more details.
