Bathing in VärmlandThere are 3000 lakes, streams and rivers in Värmland. In other words, it is easy to find a good bathing place. There is no sea-bathing but there is the lake Vänern in the southern Värmland. Try Hammarö and you will find six bathing places besides all the other leisure activities the island is offering you. Go to the middle of Värmland and have a bathe in the Fryken lakes. They are 80 km long, so you have plenty of space for a swim or combine a visit to Rottneros Park with having a bathe in Fryken. Go north to Vägsjöfors and have a bathe in the lake Brocken. There are beautiful bathing beaches and camping grounds. The most outstanding bathing place is perhaps the river Klarälven. Hire a raft. The raft becomes your home, your means of transport and a platform for bathing. It is on the raft that you cook, sleep, fishes and from which you jump into the river for a bathe. You can stop along the way and look at sights and events but even if the "go ashores" are interesting, the journey itself is the real adventure but be careful when you bathe in the river. This is just a few examples of where to go for a bathe. There are lots of good and beautiful bathing places all over the province.
