The International Swedish RallyIn the beginning of February there is a large motorsport competition going on in the deep forests of Värmland. It is the International Swedish Rally with all the well-known rally drivers of the world. There is a party going on everywhere where the rally passes. Folk Musician FestivalIn Ransäter you can visit the Folk Musician Festival in the beginning of June. A lot of folk musicians gather together and play all night long. Phone: 0552-303 43 Accordian Festival in RansäterThis is the largest accordian of all the Nordic countries. Over 200 orchestras perform, there are two scenes with high-class entertainment. Phone: 0552-303 43 Klarhälja and ÄlvdalssaganIn another rural community centre, Kärnåsen about 79 kilometres north of Karlstad, there is another open-air theatre and another play. This one is called Älvdalssagan and it is a saga about how it could be living in northern Värmland in the 19th century. This festivity during the special week is called Klarhälja. There are several craftsmen and women in the area this week and they are all showing some of the finest handicrafts from last century. He went by boat all the way from Säffle to a small village outside Arvika, Sulvik. As a reminder of this Arvika and Säffle has decided to host a Viking week. There are many attractions and interesting things going on in both cities during the week. GammelvalaIn Brunskog outside Arvika you can visit Gammelvala in the end of July.
