Solkanonen (The Sun Canon)

The Sun Canon is situated in a tower built in the mid of 1800s. The 12 pound canon is equipped with ignition mechanism consisting of a lens mounted above the canon. The sunrays hit the lens, which ignites the priming powder. At noon, the shot can be heard in most part of Åtvidaberg.
