 Bathing in Östergötland To go bathing is easy in Östergötland. There are several bathingplaces of different nature. The big and deep lake Vättern in the west with its clear fresh water differs from the Baltic Sea in the east. The islands in the arhipelago are excellent to go to for a swim. Between the sea and Vättern there are all the small lakes and most of them give you the opportunity to have a bathe. From having a refreshing swim in Vättern to a bathe in a small lake surrounded by forest and further to the sea where you plunge into salt water. If that isn't enough you have swimming pools and swimming baths in most towns.
