 Family in Östergötland Bathing is almost a must for families and they have several bathing places within easy reach. In the West, there are freshwater bathes in the big lake Vättern, in the East sea-bathing and in between several small lakes. All children like outdoors activities and there are a lot of places to visit. A stroll through Vadstena with its buildings from the Middle Ages will start the imagination of the children. Other activities as fishing, canoeing, adventures and camping is also pleasant and in Östergötland there are lots of them. The favourite with the children is Kolmårdens Djurpark.
