Sights and Attractions in Öland: Historical
Vi alvar Gravefield from the Iron Age. Approx. 18 km north
of Borgholm, along the main road running through the
centre of the island.
Källa gamla kyrka Medieval church built in the 12th
century. East of Vi alvar, on the coast.

AB Renaissance castle, still in excellent condition. Limestone
exhibition as well. Just outside of Borgholm.
Ancient stronghold with many parts still intact. The castle is
situated approx. 15km south-east of Borgholm, on the
east coast.
Karlevistenen Öland's most remarkable runestone. The
inscription dates from the 10th century. 12km south of the bridge.
Beijershamn 2km long stone-pier (stenbrygga). Situated
close to Karlevistenen, 12km south of the bridge.
Mysinge hög Bronze Age grave site, very impressive.

Carl X Gustafs mur This impressive wall was built in the
early 19th century, and goes from one coast to the Other. It was built to keep
the deer in the southern part of the island.
