Bathing in ÖlandÖland is in many ways a perfect island for bathing. On the westcoast of Northern Öland there are the unique flat cliffs in contrast to the 20 km long sandy Böda Bay on the eastcoast. The long bathing beach is excellent for children and is considered to be the most beautiful beach of them all. The bay's most popular bathing places are Fagerör, Homrevet, Lyckesand and Böda Sand. Southward is Sandviken, another excellent sandy beach. Other bathing places on the eastcoast are Frösnäs, Kårehamn, Mellösa, Bjärby, Stenåsa and Näsby. On the northern westcoast of Öland there is Byxelkrok and the flat cliffs. Its a lovely place to go for a swim when the sun sets. Southward is Byerum with both cliffs and a sandy beach. Further southwards are Sandvik, Djupvik, Äleklinta, Borgholm, Ekerum, Lökenäs Färjestaden and Haga Park. Haga Park is one of the longest and most beautiful bathing beaches and the most popular among the windsurfers. Other bathing places are Kalvhagen, Degerhamn and Parboäng.
