 Family in ÖlandÖland, or in other words, sun and bathe, is a perfect place for families. They are never far from the sea. At most they have 8 km to the sea but that is not all; nowhere in Sweden is the sun shining more often than on Öland. The beaches (280 km) are where the most leisure activities take place with windsurfing, beach volleyball, diving and of course bathing. The beaches are made for families. From long sandy bathing beaches where the children can play to cliffs made for sunbathing. But bathing is not all one can do. Öland is a lovely island and worth a visit. There are a lot of events going on and there is the peculiar nature and there are all the nice places. Even the most spoilt child will be impressed by Eketorps ancient castle.
