Thanks to Borgholm being such a popular destination there are many good restaurants and hotels. There is also a guest harbour.FärjestadenFärjestaden is also relatively large with approx. 4 500 inhabitants and with a total of 6 000 people including the surrounding villages. Most people work in the nearby city, Kalmar, on the other side of the bridge. Färjestaden has a large shopping centre. There is a guest harbour in the town as well.

The castle, despite its dilapidated state, is still considered to be one of the most beautiful in Sweden. There are 16 other castles and ruins spread out over the entire island. MörbylångaMörbylånga is a small town with only 2 000 inhabitants. The town's main industy is agriculture although tourism is a large income-bringer as well in the summer months.
