Skellefteå Museum, Skellefteå

Cultural historical museum which represents the whole province. The emphasis is on technique and industrial history. A new exhibition covering the history of Skellefteå opened in March '95. Smaller exhibitions of mint and coinage history as well as weights and measures are open.

Gammlia Open-air Museum, Umeå

An open-air museum with cultural and natural historical exhibitions. During the summer the museum functions a "real" farm with typical farm animals. A restaurant is open in Sävan's manor.

The Fish and Maritime Museum, Umeå

Pengsjö Museum, Vännäs

A museum where the history of Swedish pioneers in Norrland during the 16th-18th centuries. Many buildings from both the early Swedes as well as the Laplanders can be seen here. Many objects of cultural historical interest are on display.
