Bathing in Norrbotten, Västerbotten and Lappland

Have a swim in one of the many lakes or lie in the sun and enjoy the midnight sun in summer and just take it easy. It's easy to find a good bathing-place. The archipelago and the long shoreline of the Gulf of Bothnia give you excellent opportunities for having a swim or sun bathing. There are a lot of sandy beaches on the islands and on the coast. It's possible to bathe in the big lakes as Torneträsk, Akkajaure, Stora Lulevatten, Hornavan and almost all lakes and tarns where access to the shoreline is possible and where you don't interfere with restrictions in nature reserve. The water may be cold but it is clear, pure and fresh. A good advice is to combine bathing with canoeing or hiking. You can go deep into the wilderness and find your own lovely bathing-beach.
