Jämtland/Härjedalen is one of the best areas in Sweden, when it comes to skiing, with several excellent facilities.

The Åre-Duved recreational area

Åre-Duved are two of the most popular vinter resorts in Skandinavia and both offers great skiing, beautiful nature and a lot of activities such as dog sledge, horse-backriding, paragliding, hang-gliding and snowmobile safaris. Åre is the perfekt area for downhill and crosscountryskiing and here you can enjoy:

44 lifts including 1 mountain railway, 1 cable car, 1 gondola and 5 chairlifts.
87 prepared runs, total length 82 km.
Man-made snow in 19 runs
70 km prepared cross-country tracks, of which 7,5 km are illuminated.
Maximum vertical drop 890 m.
Resort height: 400 m above sea level.
Mountain: Åreskutan 1 420 m above sea level, highest point in ski area 1 274 m.

Åre is also a popular summer resort with all facilities for hiking, fishing, mountainbiking, rafting etc. A god spot to relax and enjoy the fresh air and the clean water.
