There are all the leisure activities and outdoor life most families enjoy. There are all the interesting places and there are the mountains and the enchanting nature. Most parts of Jämtland and Härjedalen are wild countries yet it is easy to find good bathing places for a family. There are several swimming pools in the provinces and there are all the lovely lakes. The water may be cold but it is clear, pure and fresh.

Frösö Zoo

Frösö Zoo is zoological park and an amusement park at the same time. The zoo is housing more than 500 animals from all over the world. From big mammals to small spiders. The zoo is located on Frösö island outside Östersund.
