Bathing in Bollnäs

There are several places suitable for bathing and swimming along the shores of the Rivers Ljusnan and Voxnan. The biggest is the sandy beach in Orbaden, north of Bollnäs. Other nice bathing places are Galvsjöbadet, not far from Arbrå and Skidtjärn, a beautiful lake in Rengsjö. In the centre of Bollnäs there are Karlslundsbadet and a small beach at Långnäs.

Ljusdal municipality has many lovely natural bathing sites. Several of these are equipped with jetties, playgrounds and toilets. There are also many smaller sites.

Stenö havsbad (Stenö sea-bathing facility)
Stenö sea-bathing facility is one of the largest and most popular open-air bathing facilities in the county with shallow water and a sandy beach which is well suited for children. The bathing facility is specially designed to meet the needs of the disabled and has changing rooms, toilets, kiosk, barbecue bar, café, shop and mini-golf. There is also a camping site with room for 220 caravans and tents, as well as eleven cottages to rent. Stenö Värdshus has a restaurant and rooms to rent.

Choose whether you would prefer to go for a bathe in a lake, sea or a heated outdoor pool. Hudiksvall has it all.
