Halmstads Castle

The castle is a beautiful building dating from the 17th century. Theatrical
performances and concerts take place in the summer in the inner courtyard.
The castle is now the residence of the governor of the county and is therefore
not open to the public.

Skottorp Castle

The castle is situated south of Laholm and dates back to the 17th century.
The present building was built in the beginning of the 19th century. Today
it is perhaps the impressive Empire style furnishings and the beautiful
English park which one remembers most. Guided tours are conducted during
the summer.

Hallandsgården
Hallandsgården is an open-air museum on Galgberget(Gallows hill) in
Halmstad. It has many rustic buildings and a village school from the 19th
century. There is an enchanting view over Halmstad. Galgberget is a popular
recreation and walking area and the cafe in Hallandsgården´s beautiful
surroundings is delightful.
Skummeslövs strand
The most southern of Halland´s great bathing paradises.Skummelövs Strand
is a beautiful,sandy beach with excellent facilities.The facilities include
camping, tenniscourts,shops and restaurants etc. The nearby naturereserve offers excellent walking in magnificent surroundings.
