Family in Halland

The children are building sand-castles or playing by the waterfront while their parents are taking a sunbath. A symbol of summer. In Halland there are plenty of symbols. Long shallow sandy bathing beaches with plenty of playing children. It is not for nothing that Halland is called the swedish Riviera.

Skummeslövs strand

The most southern of Halland´s great bathing paradises. Skummeslövs Strand is a beautiful, sandy beach with excellent facilities.The facilities include camping, tennis courts, shops and restaurants etc.

The nearby nature reserve offers excellent walking in magnificent surroundings.

Skrea Strand

The widely known beach near Falkenberg, attracts thousands of tourists each summer. Each year there is a carnival, Skrea karnevalen.

Characteristic for the beach are the small beach cabins that are a prominent addititon to the beach. There are numerous restaurants and discos all along the waterfront.

Apelviken has probably got the best conditions for windssurfing in Sweden. There are both rocky shores and sandy beaches facing the Kattegatt. There are a lot of facilities such as restaurants and camping grounds.

Mellbystrand

Mellbystrand is another wellknown bathing beach nearby Laholm. It is excellent both for windsurfers and for children. Big open spaces and lovely sand makes it a paradise for the children.

Tylösand

The same goes for Tylösand in Halmstad . The beach is also wellknown among the windsurfers and the children. The sandy bathing beach tempts all sun worshipers and swimmers but Tylösand is much more.There are a golf course, tennis courts, restaurants, hotels and an atmosphere you will appreciate.

Amusement park Himleriket

Himleriket is a family amusement and recreational park. The park has a cultural and enviromental theme and is primarily designed for children 2-13 years and their playful parents. The park is located 10 km south of Varberg.
