Sights and Attractions in Gästrikland

Gästrikland is a Sweden in miniature, with large, wild forests in the west and a beautiful coastline in the east. The forests offer the hiker beautiful experiences in an untouched environment, while the angler can choose from a wide variety of fish in the streams and lakes.

Of special interest in Gästrikland are the many historical iron and steel mills that are scattered around the region. Many of them are open to visitors during the summer months. Gästrikland is a rich region, as well in natural resources as in history.
