Dalafjäll Hills

Vasa Race Trail. 90 km trail which mainly follows the route of the famous Vasa cross-country ski race, through typical Dalarna scenery, villages and summer grazing lands. Information from Älvdalen Tourist Office.

Grövelsjön

Linnaeus Trail. Follow in steps of the world-famous botanist, Carl Linnaeus, from Lake Grövelsjön over on to the Norwegian side of the Mountains. May to October. Trail guide-book available from the tourist office.

Sälen

Walks in Sälen. There are 200 km marked footpaths in the Sälen, 2,5 tarmac wheelchair path into the hills by Sälen Mountain Hotel . Guided walks available. Information from Sälen Tourist Office.

King's Way. The first stage of the southern part of the path goes from Sälen Mountain Hotel to Drevdagen. Most of the route goes through varied hill country.

Älvdalen

Linnaeus Trail. 14 km from the skistation to Hykieberg mountain (594 m. above sea-level) from where there are marvellous views. Unique flora on the steep slopes.
