Gagnef

Västerdalälven River. Five sets of rapids in a 15 km stretch of river. Good access to grayling and salmon trout. Also game fishing for rainbow trout and salmon trout. Permits and maps available from the tourist office. Suitable fishing lake for handicapped persons with wheel-chairs. At Burtjärn Tarn in Björbo, permits can be bought from a permit machine. Malung

Good fishing in the Västerdalälven River and its tributaries, as well as in the River Ogströmmen in Öje. Permits available from Malung Tourist Office.

Stocked Fishery. Stocked game fishery with rainbow trout, salmon trout and alpine char. Fishing in Mortjärn, Jängtjärn and Soppristjärn tarns. Information from Malung Tourist Office.

Vansbro

Sälen

Fishing in the Transtrand and Lima areas. Permits can be bought at the Tourist Office or from petrol stations.

Älvdalen

Österdalälven River. Some of the best waters in Sweden for grayling and salmon trout. Salmon trout, alpine char, white fish, rainbow trout, pike and perch. Permits can be bought at the Tourist Office or Intersport.
