Ingemar Johansson Ingemar Johansson, born in Göteborg 1932, was, in his active years, a heavy weight boxer who won the Silver medal at the Olympic Games in 1952. He then became a professional boxer and won, as such, the European Championships in 1956. He took the World Champion title in 1959 (in round 3), from Floyd Patterson.
