Anders Gärderud

Anders Gärderud is but one of Sweden's most famous post-war athletes. He won silver in the European Championships in the 3,000 metres steeplechase, and he broke the world record several times 1975-76. Crowning his career in 1976, he won the gold medal in Montreal after a very dramatic race.
